Company re-structure for Shropshire sports coaching bosses
A sports coaching company which trains youngsters in schools across Shropshire and Mid Wales today welcomed a new director after one of the founding bosses left the firm.

Jim Prescott has joined Telford-based Ball Sports Community Coaching which was set up by his son Neil Prescott, along with Steve Lalley from Market Drayton and Paul Marshall from Oswestry in 2008.
Jim has now joined the company after Mr Marshall left the business to move to the Isle of Wight for family reasons.
The trio are now planning for 2013 which has already seen them scoop a contract to provide coaching sessions at Selattyn Primary School near Oswestry, as well as a number of Quick Feet Soccer Matrix Skills Schools including the existing skills school at Market Drayton that they have been running for some time.
They will also be launching a new holiday camp at Adcote School in Shrewsbury.
Jim, who lives in Telford said: “Neil and Steve are both excellent fully qualified sports coaches who have great enthusiasm and passion for what they do.
“The development within the business since its launch in 2008 has made me extremely proud and I am now looking forward to working even closer with the boys.
“We are gaining new contracts with new schools every term for both lunchtime clubs, after school clubs and PPA sessions which is wonderful.”
Jim said it would be a very exciting year ahead for Ball Sports.
“We are also looking at links with a limited number of professional football clubs in the area and are really excited about our association with Matrix Sports for delivering the Quick Feet Programme.
“We also have a link up with a specialist company offering sports ground maintenance,” he said.
Ball Sports Community Coaching is in its fifth year of hosting multi-sport, football, rugby and cricket coaching schemes which attract thousands of children every year.
Neil, 25, added: “Paul has looked after coaching in schools and holiday camps in the Oswestry area and will be missed.
“Everyone at Ball Sports wishes Paul and his family good luck and best wishes in their new venture.
Steve added: “Jim has great skills to bring to the company and I know he will be driving us forward with his knowledge and business support.”
Ball Sports hosts holiday camps in Oswestry, Market Drayton and Albrighton, near Cosford and will launch a new camp at Adcote School next year.
They also boast contracts with Telford & Wrekin Council, Shropshire Council and Powys County Council to run sessions at schools across all three areas.
