Qualification achievements add up to success for Shropshire accountant
A local accountancy firm is celebrating a string of recent successes after a number of its team achieved acclaimed industry qualifications.

Shrewsbury-based DJH Accountants has seen four members of its team pass exams as part of their ongoing training towards becoming Chartered Accountants.
20 year-old Annabelle Wint, a trainee in the Accounts Department, has recently completed the final level (Level Four) of the Association of Accountancy Technicians (AAT) Accounting Qualification, which required her to draft financial statements, manage budgets and evaluate financial performance. Olivia Matthews, who is 19 and also a trainee in the Accounts Department, has successfully completed Level Three in the ATT Accounting Qualification, which has seen her develop her accounting skills through more complex tasks, such as maintaining cost accounting records, as well as preparing reports and returns.
In addition to Annabelle and Olivia, 21 year-old Lisa Tidyman has recently passed the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) modules of Financial Statements and also Audit & Assurance, while 22 year-old Kirsty Williamson has also passed two modules, Audit & Assurance and Financial Performance. The ACCA qualification is an industry renowned accolade, which requires the individuals to undertake a series of modules and exams to achieve the qualification that will eventually enable them to become a Chartered Certified Accountant.
Matt Jordan, Director at DJH Accountants, said: “We are extremely proud of Olivia, Kirsty, and Lisa who have all passed crucial modules on their way to securing either the AAT Accounting Qualification, or ACCA Qualification, and we are delighted Annabelle has completed her AAT Accounting Qualification, which has provided her with a great foundation for a long career as an accountant. The qualifications are of a similar status to that of a university degree, which proves young people can still progress both professionally and academically, without the need to actually attend university.
“We’d also like to offer our congratulations to VAT and Bookkeeping Clerk, Liz Moran, and Business Service Manager, Sharon Morris, for recently attaining the SAGE accreditation, which officially recognises their computer software skills,” Matt concluded.
