A project to provide vital support for the bosses of small companies in Shropshire is to be launched by three businesswomen after the success of a taster session.

Shropshire business trio launch advice project in Oswestry

Louise Hudson, of Hudson LM Ltd, has joined forces with Eva Hill, of Work Life Better and Heather Noble of Salt Solutions on the new initiative to provide the practical and professional help.

The trio have already held the introductory session in Oswestry earlier this month for businesses to find out more, which proved popular.

And the women are keen to help more small business owners and sole traders who feel they need to move their business forward but lack the acumen or ability to take the next important step.

Mrs Hudson, who is a chartered accountant at Whittington, near Oswestry, said she was keen to share her knowledge and skills with other businesses at the monthly get-togethers being held in the town as part of the Momentum project.

She said: “The taster session we held in December proved that there was a real need for the advice we are offering to small businesses.

“I am really delighted to be involved with this new project, which will give the help that firms really need to further their companies.

“We believe that firms will really benefit from our combined skills. We also think this is a unique and innovative idea.

“We want as many businesses as possible to have access to this type of advice and support when they need it, no matter when that might be in the history of their business.”

Mrs Hudson said: “The tailored workshops will include the chance for business owners to discuss their challenges and what excites them with the rest of the group who we hope collectively will provide support and advice.

“We will also give some coaching on issues such as staffing and HR, confidence and presentation skills and managing finance.

“The workshops are not about networking - it will be a detailed and personal programme designed to enable business owners to deliver real results with their companies.”
