Major milestone marked by Shropshire consultancy
A Shropshire-based business consultancy is celebrating its first birthday in style, after reaching a major milestone.
Shrewsbury and Telford-based Horizons Consultants is marking its anniversary by working with its one hundredth business, and company Founder and Director, Alan Adams, is looking forward to another bumper year ahead.
“Our first year has certainly been a huge success and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the county and region’s best businesses” he explained. “Covering every sector from hairdressing to horticulture, PR to pubs, we’ve seen an incredibly diverse range of clients at our seminars, workshops and one-to-one sessions, and we’ve been delighted to help each and every one.”
“Our free breakfast sessions have proved incredibly popular, with business owners able to learn some top tips for increasing their business’s profitability. We also launched our first series of Workshops where up to eight business owners meet together, once a month, to learn skills as diverse as developing a vision for their company, setting a killer marketing strategy, and understanding their competition. In fact this current tranche has been so successful that we’re starting the new year off with the launch of another series.”
A Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner and qualified Life Coach, Alan launched Horizons Consultants after seven years of running his own successful company, the latter three of which he also provided business coaching support and worked as a lead trainer for a FTSE250 company. “Launching Horizons in the midst of a recession was certainly a brave move” added Alan, “but it’s one that I’d absolutely do again. The last year has seen some fantastic highs, not least one of our first retained clients, Shropshire-based Zen Communications, smashing the growth targets we set together and becoming the region’s largest dedicated PR agency.
“Shropshire is home to some very special businesses and we’re looking forward to helping more business owners achieve the lifestyle and work-life balance that they deserve. And based on our early successes I believe that the future is positive indeed.”
