New registrar appointed at Prestfelde School

A new registrar has been appointed at a leading Shropshire preparatory school.

New registrar appointed at Prestfelde School

Caroline Williams has been recruited by Prestfelde School, based in London Road, Shrewsbury.

A former admissions officer at Wrekin College, Caroline replaces Jane Horne who recently retired after almost three decades of service at Prestfelde.

“I know I have a hard act to follow but I am delighted to be given the opportunity to take over as registrar at Prestfelde, which seems to be an exceptional school,” said Caroline, who lives near Telford and has also worked as an assistant manager with the Abbey National and PA to two editors at the Shropshire Star.

She added: “For many of the children and their parents, the registrar is the initial point of contact and a constant throughout their school career and I’m looking forward to taking on that responsibility.

“I’ve been in touch with Prestfelde and the people here for a number of years through my previous role – but only from the outside. Coming here I can see what a wonderful setting it has and I’ve been amazed by the extent of facilities and the friendly family environment that encourages children to have a love of learning and an enthusiasm for life.

“To complement that, the school has high academic standards with motivational teachers overseeing small classes. I look forward to helping more parents let their children benefit from the Prestfelde community.”

The school educates 270 pupils aged from three to 13 at its 30 acre site in Shrewsbury.
