Shrewsbury businesses urged to ‘network with your neighbours’

A Shrewsbury-based firm is sponsoring an initiative designed to encourage local companies – and one man bands – to do business with their neighbours.

Storage King is backing the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce's second ‘Network with your Neighbours’ event, which will be staged on Wednesday, January 23 from 12-2pm at Storage King's Battlefield Enterprise Park base.

Zowie Bellingham of Storage King said: “As a Member of the Chamber, we welcome this initiative, which is aimed at bringing together companies from many different sectors. The event will provide the opportunity for lively, informal networking, and I understand other events are planned to be held at business parks across Shropshire over the coming months.”

The ‘Network with your Neighbours’ event is free to attend, with a light lunch also on offer. Interested businesses are urged to contact the Chamber’s Events Manager, Teresa Rowe, on 01952 208218 or email t.rowe@shropshire-chamber.co.uk to reserve a space.

Teresa Rowe commented: “There are approximately 400 businesses on Battlefield Enterprise Park, some of whom we know as existing members of the Chamber, but there are many others we don’t know and would like to meet. This event is an opportunity for companies and individuals to expand their business contacts by meeting businesses who are right on their doorstep, and we're anticipating around 60 local companies will attend on the day."
