Shrewsbury salon celebrates special anniversary
A Shrewsbury salon is celebrating a special anniversary and using the milestone to boost charity and offer customers a free hair make-over.

Toni & Guy is marking 50 years at the forefront of the hairdressing industry and salons throughout the world, including the one in Castle Street, Shrewsbury, will be joining in the celebrations.
Shrewsbury salon owner Gavin Pulham says that this will be a special 12 months for his shop.
“We are one of the hundreds of Toni & Guy franchises that have opened since Toni Mascolo founded the business in London in 1963 and we are delighted to be able to mark this golden jubilee year.
“The business has been driven by a philosophy of pushing the boundaries of hairdressing and delivering creativity, quality and consistency to every client and I am very proud that Shrewsbury has been part of this evolution in hairdressing.”
He added that as part of the anniversary year a free draw would be held each month. Both customers and members of the public were invited to enter and have the chance to win one of 12 £50 hairdressing vouchers during 2013.
“At the same time we will donate £50 each month throughout the year to the Toni & Guy Foundation which supports a range of worthwhile charities,” Gavin explained.
