Telford-based trainer wins approval for standard of work
A Shropshire training company is gearing up for a business boost after putting new processes and procedures in place to improve its quality of service for 2013.
Paul Brennan, boss of Adastra Associates in Telford, said the successful completion of the ISO 9001 award would help to secure the future of his growing business.
And he is hoping the new certification will make his business stand out from competitors who do not work to this standard.
The Stafford Park-based firm, which has been providing training for more than 11 years, gained ISO 9001 with the help of QMS International.
Mr Brennan, a former senior RAF training officer, said: “I am really pleased that my company has now been ISO 9001 certified and hope it will enhance its excellent reputation even further.
“The beauty of this award is that it is as useful to smaller one-man businesses as it is to much larger organisations.
“What I really enjoy about what I do is designing and delivering the training. I seriously needed to put as much effort into making sure that my business was being run efficiently and effectively and that’s what the ISO standard is all about.
“With the valuable assistance of the QMS consultant, I created a workable set of processes and procedures that make it much easier for me to ensure that my business is running as it should to ensure long-term profitability and growth.”
Recent months have seen Adastra Associates double the size of its office at Trevithick House on Stafford Park 4.
Mr Brennan is also doing an increasing amount of work as a trainer for Coventry University with two of their corporate clients.
He is also hoping to launch a foundation degree in management and leadership later in the year through the university for local businesses.
And Mr Brennan said: “I am really pleased with the work Adastra Associates does to help both individuals and companies succeed.
