Shropshire financial planners expand their business
A Shropshire-based chartered financial planning company is set to merge with a nearby independent financial advice specialist.
Matrix Capital Limited, near Bridgnorth, is joining forces with Thompson Little, from Alveley, and will welcome Nick Thompson to their team.
Managing director at Matrix Capital, Robin Melley, said the move was an excellent opportunity to pool the experience of everyone involved and to deliver an even stronger advice service to local clients.
“We have always been impressed with Nick’s commitment to his profession, and his total dedication to serving his clients, so we were very keen to have him on board.
“He brings new capabilities to our business, and this is definitely a chance for us to expand into other areas of financial advice that we couldn’t have approached without Nick’s expertise. In particular, we will now be able to offer top quality mortgage advice which is a valuable addition to our company and a new direction for us to explore.”
Nick has been a financial adviser for over 35 years and has a wealth of experience, with many clients in the local Bridgnorth area.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the team at Matrix Capital – we’ve worked together informally for several years, and it now seems a natural progression to be officially joining forces in this way.”
It’s an exciting time for Nick to be joining the Matrix team as the firm has seen steady year-on-year growth despite tough economic circumstances, and has ambitious plans for the future.
They are also one of only a handful of firms of independent financial advisers in the UK to have been awarded Corporate Chartered Financial Planner status.
Robin and his colleague, Gary Matthews, are also Fellows of the Personal Finance Society, and have more than 25 years’ experience in delivering financial advice to a wide range of clients. Both Robin and Gary are Associates of the Institute of Financial Planning, and Robin is the Personal Finance Society’s Chartered Champion for the Shropshire and Staffordshire region.
Matrix Capital supports both business and private clients, offering advice on investments, pensions, retirement, and inheritance tax issues.
