A leading CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training organisation has chosen The Business Academy in Shrewsbury as a centre in which to host its courses in the region.

Welsh-based Advance CPD provides a range of courses to track and document the development of skills, knowledge and experience gained by legal professionals beyond their initial training.

Advance CPD principal and chief executive Adrian Mason said: “In deciding upon an appropriate venue we had to ensure that the facilities on offer were suitable for our needs, taking into account facilities, access and parking for evening class students and the Business Academy in Shrewsbury more than satisfies all of these requirements.

“By working with such an important organisation as Shropshire Chamber of Commerce at the Business Academy, we will be able to expand our existing course provisions from just evening classes at the moment, to also include daytime provisions.

“Our students can be confident that we will continue to offer the highest level of tuition and we are justifiably proud of being the number one CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) college in the country, based on last year’s results.

“We aim to maintain that lofty position going forward and believe that the Business Academy is the perfect place to help us achieve that goal.”

Chris Jones, operations manager at the Business Academy added: “We are delighted that Advance CPD has chosen the Chamber’s Business Academy as a venue from which to run its courses.

“We aim to provide the best facilities in the county for businesses to meet and develop their staff and we are extremely proud to be associated with Advance CPD as national leaders in their field.

“By jointly sharing the same vision in developing staff and employees to assist with company growth and sustainability, we have our own portfolio of courses which complements those of Advance CPD to ensure that we can cater for all types of businesses.”
