Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is reminding companies across the county that its first popular expo event of 2013 is taking place later this month.

The free to attend Telford Business Expo is being held from 8:30am until 1:30pm at the Telford College of Arts and Technology in Wellington on Thursday 21st February, and will provide local businesses of all sizes and sectors a chance to promote their companies, as well as attend networking opportunities and seminars throughout the day.

The Expo will be kicked off with a breakfast networking meeting which will welcome guest speaker, Carl Jones, Assistant Editor at the Shropshire Star, who will be presenting a talk titled ‘Have You Got News for Them?’, explaining how businesses can get their stories noticed and put to the top of the pile.

The day will also play host to a number of free seminars where attendees can pick up valuable advice and guidance from some of Shropshire’s most successful business owners, including Helen Culshaw, of Ascendancy Internet Marketing, who will outline the tools that businesses should use to generate more from their websites. HR expert Justine Vaughan, Founder and Director of Triangle HR, will head up a seminar on ‘Top Tips for a Stress-Less Workplace’ which aims to give business owners and managers a better understanding of how they can manage their own pressures and stress levels.

Teresa Rowe, Events Manager at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, explained: “Our Expos prove to be some of the most popular events in our calendar, and I’m sure this one, our first of 2013, will be no exception. This event will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with the like-minded individuals, gain invaluable advice from our guest speakers, and explore the 60 plus exhibitors who will be showcasing their businesses.

“The Expo itself and seminars are free to attend, while exhibiting costs just £145+VAT for Members, and £185+VAT for non-Members. The breakfast networking will cost £10+VAT for Members or £20+VAT for non-Members, while a networking lunch is also available, costing £15+VAT for Members and £25+VAT for non-Members. I’d urge anyone interesting in exhibiting or attending to secure a place by contacting 01952 208218, emailing t.rowe@shropshire-chamber.co.uk , or booking online at www.shropshire-chamber.co.uk.”
