Shropshire business offers a flash of colour in the motoring world...
If you spot a car with a bright fluorescent flash of colour on Shropshire’s roads, chances are it’s been SprayWrapped.

Shropshire business Ace Car Care is encouraging people to add a splash of colour to their lives — by sprucing up their vehicles.
And within weeks of bringing in the new service, their handiwork has even featured on the front page of VW Bus T4 & T5 + magazine.
Technicians at the firm, based at the Benbow Business Park in Shrewsbury, spraywrapped a T5 for one of their customers and now the vehicle is the star of the magazine, which is on sale this month.
“We’re really excited about the magazine, which is dedicated to lovers of the T4 and T5 iconic VW buses” owner Stuart Williams said. “It’s great to see our work on the front page so quickly. We spraywrapped all the chrome, the badges, grille bars and front fog light surrounds in vivid orange and it looks great. We also carbon wrapped the bonnet and mirror caps and the wheels are now a custom colour to complement the colour of the van.”
To give customers even more opportunity to see just what the new technique can offer, the company has also given a Nissan Micra the SprayWrap treatment.
The new service allows people to change the colour of any panel or part of a vehicle — from the wheels to a complete colour change.
“To make sure everyone in Shropshire knows that we SprayWrap cars, we wanted the Micra to really stand out,” Mr Williams said.
“We used some of the fluorescent orange SprayWrapped coating on the roof, spoiler, mirrors and front grilles. It certainly looks good and stands out.”
Mr Williams said the new service, called SprayWrapped, is the latest technology for car enthusiasts to give their vehicles a makeover.
“Many people think about having a full colour change vinyl wrap on their cars but it’s expensive and takes time but spray wrapping is a cost effective way of applying a colour change temporary wrap to almost any vehicle or part of a vehicle,” he said.
The team at the Benbow Business Park workshop in Shrewsbury is offering a whole range of different colours. A standard SprayWrapped finish is a solid matt colour but layers can be added to give a satin/semi-gloss finish or a metallic or pearl finish.
There are also lots of different finishes from stealth matt black to gold, pearlescent and camo colours.
“The product is sprayed onto the part or vehicle and is strong and durable and doesn’t easily come off until you want it to. Then you can peel it back to reveal the original finish underneath and it will be completely undamaged by the application or removal of the product.”
Mr Williams said the company has already had lots of enquiries about the new product.
“We think it’s going to be really special. We have already SprayWrapped chrome badges, grilles and door surrounds to black, wheels from silver to fluorescent pink and orange, mirror caps in bright red and have even got vehicles booked in for a complete colour change,” he said.
