Barry Mould, director of Shires Fire & Safety on Stafford Park, said he was “delighted” to be working with another long established and successful independently run, DB Roberts & Partners Ltd.
Mr Mould’s firm, which he set up in 1990, will be supplying and maintaining fire equipment, including alarms, extinguishers and emergency lighting, to the estate agents’ ten branches.
He has also scooped contracts with the NHS and local authorities across the country.
The latest contract will cover DB Roberts’ offices in Shrewsbury, Telford town centre, Wellington, Oakengates, Shifnal, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Cannock and Halesowen.
Mr Mould said the two firms had much in common as independent Shropshire-based firms.
He said Bill Brookes, chairman of DB Roberts, was impressed with the quality of the work offered including the British made extinguishers.
Mr Mould said: “All at Shires are extremely pleased to have been chosen for the contract with such a reputable Shropshire company as DB Roberts.
“Once again our extensive qualifications and our commitment to the highest industry standards along with our own standard of service shone through.
“We are both local firms, which is really important for me, and we are qualified to do a first class job which we look forward to providing to DB Roberts branches.
“We are BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment) approved to ensure we meet industry standards, which a lot of companies in Shropshire are not and that is important for us but also should be at the top of anyone’s list when looking for fire safety services.”
Mr Mould, who employs 22 people, added: “We are really looking forward to working with all at DB Roberts and ensuring their safety is protected and all members of staff know exactly what to do in the event of fire.”
Mr Brookes said: “We are a long-established company which started in Shropshire almost 50 years ago, and now covers Shropshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands, offering a range of property related services.
“We were reviewing our service contracts and looking for a company that could deliver a good service and had the right expertise.
“Shires Fire & Safety met these criteria and is a local company, which is an added bonus for us.”
