Top business technology event held at Oswestry
An Apple iPad, Epson printer, Samsung Galaxy Tablet and Epson digital projector were up for grabs at a big Technology Expo event held at the Lion Quays Waterside Resort, near Oswestry.
Organised by Micro Plus Computers of Oswestry, the firm hosted an informal afternoon and evening where many top technology companies such as Epson, Samsung, Microsoft, Toshiba and Fujitsu showcased their wares.
Event organiser Peter Stokes, operations manager of Micro Plus Computers said: “There were around 25 exhibits running throughout the afternoon and evening alongside several ‘drop-in’ sessions where people could hear industry experts talking about benefits of the very latest technology.
“This was a great chance to see some cutting edge IT equipment both on display and in action, and be able to speak face-to-face with top manufacturers on subjects including interactive video displays, smart printing, paper-free offices and money saving opportunities.
“We were absolutely delighted with the number of visitors who walked through the doors and many people involved in both business and education commented on the quality of displays, as the theme was more of ideas for business solutions, rather than normal static sales displays.
“Having received such positive feedback and having handed out some great draw prizes on the day, this will probably now become an annual event.”
