Shropshire charity benefits from corporate fundraising
Shropshire Mental Health Support has received a significant donation from two-local businesses following a year of fundraising events.

Teams from sister companies SJ Roberts Construction and Lowfield Timber Frames, based in Lowfield near Welshpool, undertook a series of fundraising events during 2022 that included the Welshpool 10k, Brynkinalt Running Festival, Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon, Oswestry 10k and a Santa run.
In doing so, they raised £2,500 which has been donated to Shropshire Mental Health Support.
Managing Director of SJ Roberts, Mike Sambrook, commented: “Asking your team to commit to events outside of work isn’t always easy, but the teams at SJ Roberts and Lowfield Timber Frames rose to the challenge, limbered up and ran with determination.
“I’m extremely grateful to all who took part in the events and would like to thank everyone who donated to our fundraising page. This donation wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s individual commitment and contribution.”
In 2023, the businesses have chosen another charity focused on mental health issues and well-being for all - Ponthafren – and will be kickstarting their fundraising efforts with the Welshpool 10K on Sunday 26th March!
