Legal firm’s web makeover is a boost to business
Shropshire-based strategic branding and website design company Good thing is once again proving that its people-based approach is creating great success and a welcome business boost to companies in the county.

While the innovative and personal approach from founder Warran Brindle and team has paid dividends for companies and organisations across the UK - keeping it in the county is at the core of the Good thing mission.
And prestigious legal firm Hatchers Solicitors is the latest client to choose Good thing over others for its recent website relaunch. In fact, the two companies were already aligned in their approach to both their clients and their staff. Hatchers’ ethos is based on “doing best what matters most”.
Warran says: “To both Hatchers and our team, people are what matter most, so we focused our strategy on the people. We crafted the visual style of the new Hatchers' team photography for the new website to cultivate deeper connections between clients and the teams that are there to help them.
“Right from the start we wanted to bring to life Hatchers’ greatest asset - their people and the unique culture they have carefully curated since the 1970s.
“We wanted to get across the company’s combination of traditional values, dedication to the profession with forward-thinking, commitment to supporting the local community and an innovative approach to law.
“What’s important to us is working in the county; keeping the money in the county for the best of Shropshire businesses. We want to promote Shropshire as a place to launch and grow world-class companies.”
Clients have included, among many others, Derwen College, Oswestry; The Hive, Shrewsbury; global food brand Peter’s Yard, and ethical food brand The Lost Tea Company. A diverse collection, but with one thing in common - businesses that make a profit whilst making a difference.
Long-time client Wendy Wilson Bett of Peter’s Yard says: “We’re delighted to work with a talented team which has no doubt played a part in our fifty per cent average year-on-year business growth.”
This is also reflected in the way Hatchers works. The company’s Legal Director Andrew Holland says of the process of creating the new website: “It was important for Hatchers to have a website that truly reflected who we are and what we offer - our values, the way we work with clients and our commitment to our community.
“Good thing made this an easy and rewarding process.
“We feel our ideas were heard and our ideals understood and translated perfectly into a new and more modern look for the future.”
Emma Jones, Operations Director says: “We were delighted to be able to work closely and collaboratively with people who took the time to find out exactly who we are as a company and what is important to us.”
Good thing founder Warran lives in Shrewsbury with his wife and three daughters and feels passionately about elevating Shropshire businesses to become better.
He says: “Businesses who do better perform better. It's as simple as that.”
