Two top awards for community company at Telford Recovery Conference
Community company A Better Tomorrow has scooped two top awards at the Telford and Wrekin annual recovery conference.

The company helps people with addiction, substance misuse, mental health issues and homelessness and is also part of the Telford Recovery Partnership supporting those recovering from addiction.
A Better Tomorrow helped mark Recovery Month in September by sending a delegation to the 11th Annual Recovery Conference organised by Telford & Wrekin Council and the Telford Recovery Partnership and the team came back with two awards.
Wayne Clarke, 53, was chosen as the Recovery Hero Professional of the year and Timothy Anderson, 52, was selected as Volunteer of the Year.
Leighton Woolley of A Better Tomorrow said the organisation was very proud of Wayne and Timothy particularly as the awards were decided by delegates at the conference.
“It was a real accolade for them both from their peers,” said Leighton.
Volunteer Timothy has been working with A Better Tomorrow for several months as a support worker with the abstinence team. Staff member Wayne is the team leader in the early intervention team and has been with A Better Tomorrow for five years.
