New service launches for Shropshire musicians
A new local business has recently launched in Shrewsbury offering essential services for guitarists, and bassists in Shropshire.
O'Reilly Guitar Services, from Shrewsbury resident Ian O’Reilly, offers a high-quality setup and maintenance for acoustic and electric guitars and basses.
With a thriving music local scene and the recent increase in new guitars purchased for both young and old new learners, O'Reilly Guitar Services is launched to specifically cater to musicians of all levels, from setting up that first guitar to get it in the best condition for a new learner to maintaining essential instruments for semi-professional and professional musicians.
Ian O’Reilly brings decades of experience from working with bands and musicians in the 1980s through to the present day.
Basic services include restringing, adjusting string action and intonation, neck alignment, cleaning and oiling fretboards, tightening hardware fittings, and polishing frets, bodies, and necks. For those seeking more detailed attention, the full setup adds fret levelling, nut height adjustment, pickup height optimization, and cleaning of volume and tone knobs.
In addition to setups, O'Reilly Guitar Services specialises in hardware replacements, such as pickups, electronics, bridges, saddles, tuners, strap buttons, and pickguards for electric and acoustic instruments. Acoustic bridge repairs and other maintenance tasks are handled with precision and care, ensuring every instrument performs at its best.
