A Shifnal businesswoman is celebrating a decade of success in financial services.

Shifnal businesswoman celebrates decade of success

Claire Dentith launched CD Financial in February 2015 and has since built up a thriving company which is boasts an all-female team.

“I now have six other woman who help me to support clients from all over Shropshire and the West Midlands,” said Claire.

“I’m proud that we are an all-female team, which is unusual in financial services, although it wasn’t really by design, it just naturally happened.

“I wouldn’t want to be too stereotypical as the advice profession has made great strides over the last few decades and I know fantastic male advisors.

“However, I think as females we bring empathy and compassion into the role, making sure our clients feel heard, cared for and empowered to make financial decisions that are right for themselves and their families.

“When I set up CD Financial the only place I wanted to be based was Shifnal as it has a fantastic community spirit and has so much to offer, being easily accessible by road and train.

‘Most of the team live in Shifnal and we are all very active in the community and my clients who come in for meetings love having a nose round the shops or treating themselves to a quick coffee or lunch in our local cafés and restaurants.”

Claire’s company specialises in all aspects of financial planning, including insurance, investments, pensions and mortgages, and has offices in Church Street, Shifnal. Jenna Humphreys of Love Shifnal said, “This is a great example of a local business which is fully immersed in the local Shifnal community - whether it be volunteering for the carnival or the Twinning Association; CD Financial is always supportive of all the initiatives in Shifnal.”
