Morris & Company has welcomed Zech Newton, a Business T Level student from Shrewsbury Colleges Group to its Marketing team.

Morris & Company welcomes T Level Student to Marketing

Zech joined the company in January as a ‘Trainee Marketing Administrator’ and is working one day a week alongside his studies.

T Levels are a new qualification equivalent to three A Levels, designed to equip young people with the knowledge, attitude, and practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace. A core component of each T Level is an industry placement, lasting a minimum of 315 hours, providing students with invaluable real-world experience. These placements also offer employers a unique opportunity to nurture and develop future talent within their industry.

Zech is eager to learn and is already making a positive contribution to the team, getting to grips with the various aspects of marketing. He is gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment and applying the theoretical knowledge he's learning at college.

“I'm really enjoying my placement at Morris & Company,” says Zech. “Working on projects like the Winter Wellbeing campaign this January has been a great opportunity to put what I'm learning into practice and see how a marketing team operates in a real business setting”

Paige Eades, Group Marketing Executive, commented, “We're delighted to have Zech join our team. He's enthusiastic and has shown a real aptitude for marketing. The T Level placement is a fantastic way for us to support young people in our community and give them valuable work experience.”

Meg Murphy, Work Experience Team Leader at Shrewsbury Colleges Group, added, "We are grateful to Morris & Company for providing this fantastic opportunity for Zech. Industry placements are a crucial part of the T Level programme, allowing students to develop their skills and gain practical experience in a real-world environment.”

Morris & Company is a fifth-generation family business creating exciting and sustainable developments to Shropshire’s commercial and residential landscape.
