Shropshire County Show teams up with building firm for sponsorship
One of Shropshire’s biggest agricultural events is celebrating the announcement of a major sponsor for its 150th anniversary show.
Shuker Building & Development has agreed to sponsor Shropshire County Show, which takes place in Shrewsbury on Saturday May 24, providing not only financial support but practical help in the run-up to the show.
Rob Parry, commercial director of Shuker Building & Development, said the firm was delighted to be involved with the event.
“At Shuker Building & Development, we are proud to support the 150th anniversary of the Shropshire County Show,” he said.
“This historic event not only celebrates our rich agricultural heritage but also serves as a vital opportunity for fostering community connections.
“We believe in the significance of honouring our past and exploring the future of agriculture and innovation together.
“We look forward to a vibrant day of celebration, collaboration, and community spirit as we join together to mark this special occasion.”
Phil Thornycroft, Shropshire County Show chairman, said the support from businesses like Shuker Building & Development was vital to the success of the event.
He said: “This year is particularly special as we celebrate our 150th anniversary, so we are delighted to welcome Shuker builders as a show partner.
“Along with a financial contribution to the cost of running the show, the team at Shuker are also providing some much-needed manpower to help get the showground ready for the big day.
“We are very grateful for their support and look forward to welcoming them and their guests for what will be a wonderful Shropshire County Show.”
