Social media workshop for Shifnal
A free workshop which aims to boost trade for Shifnal businesses is being hosted in the town.

The ‘social media drop-in’ day will be held at the Shifnal Community Hub on Tudor Way on Tuesday 8 April.
“Social media and being visible online is an essential part of any business’s operations and can considerably help to increase footfall, grow sales and boost profits,” said Sally Themans of Love Shifnal, which is running the event, with sponsorship by Shifnal Town Council.
"We want to help businesses become more appealing so that they can communicate and engage with a wider customer base, building a stronger platform for the future. We’ll be sharing some hints and tips about how to maximise social media algorithms.
“Having a digital presence as a business on the High Street is essential as 82% of customers say this influences their lifestyle and purchasing decisions, although only 19% of businesses have an active social media presence.
“Our event will teach people how to fully exploit the online opportunities available and we hope as many Shifnal businesses as possible will come along.”
No booking is required for the drop-in day, which is being held from 11am until 6pm.
