Halfway House Garage opens new Shrewsbury premises as part of expansion
An established Shropshire garage has opened new premises in Shrewsbury as part of an exciting expansion.
Halfway House Garages has completed the letting of the former Waverley Garage in Featherbed Lane, with the letting handled by Towler Shaw Roberts.
The company, which repairs and services cars, will also continue to operate from its other premises in Halfway House, a village between Shrewsbury and Welshpool.
Russell Hughes, the owner of Halfway House Garages, said: “We are opening a Shrewsbury garage as we have a large volume of customers in Shrewsbury and surrounding areas.
“We would like to offer our friendly and fully independent feel to an area which is occupied with a lot of larger nationwide companies."
Extending in total to 6,112 sq ft, the company’s new Featherbed Lane premises occupy a highly visible and convenient location in an area of established car dealerships.
It features a modern showroom and an open plan workshop with a roller shutter access door. The site also benefits from a generous on-site parking area.
The property became available after Techni Systems, the previous tenants, relocated to new premises nearby owing to the continued growth of the company.
Josh Hyde, who handled the letting of the property for TSR, added: “This represents an exciting move for Halfway House Garages and we wish Russell Hughes and his team continued success in their new premises.
“The property has a prominent roadside location fronting Featherbed Lane in the heart of Shrewsbury's main commercial and Industrial area.
“TSR arranged for the assignment of the current lease for Techni Systems - whose headquarters are now at nearby Henley Way, with their workshop at Arlington Way - to be transferred to Halfway House Garages."
