Taylor Evans, director of JD Heating and Renewables Ltd, has been officially recognised as the Best Heating Installer in the West Midlands by the prestigious Heating Installer Awards 2025.

Market Drayton's Taylor Evans crowned West Midlands' best heating installer

This significant accolade highlights Taylor's exceptional skill and dedication to delivering high-quality heating solutions across Shropshire and the wider West Midlands region.

Taylor's company, JD Heating and Renewables Ltd, specialises in the design, installation, and servicing of cutting-edge renewable energy systems. His winning entry showcased a remarkable project for a new build, four-bedroom property located in a quaint village on the outskirts of Cheshire. In line with modern government guidelines, Taylor meticulously installed a state-of-the-art heat pump system, complemented by efficient underfloor heating throughout the property.

The superior standard of Taylor's work did not go unnoticed by his client. Speaking highly of his efforts, the customer remarked, "The standard of work is very good. We’ve had ten viewings on the house since putting it on the market, and those who have visited have commented on the plant room and how neat it is." This glowing endorsement underscores the attention to detail and professionalism that earned Taylor his regional title.

Now in its tenth year, the nationwide Heating Installer Awards scheme continues to elevate the profile of skilled plumbers and heating installers across the country, celebrating those who consistently provide outstanding customer service.

Entries for the awards are rigorously judged on criteria such as problem-solving capabilities, in-depth product knowledge, and overall stand-out work. The judging panel comprises representatives from industry-leading partners and sponsors including CIPHE, The IPG, Polypipe Building Products, Refresh, Samsung Climate Solutions, Stelrad, and Powered Now, alongside a select team of previous award-winning installers.

A notable development for its tenth anniversary, the awards have appointed a brand-new Board of Trustees. This innovative move makes the Heating Installer Awards the only scheme in the industry run and judged entirely by installers themselves, ensuring that the judging process is informed by genuine industry expertise.

The new trustees include highly respected previous winners such as Phil Metcalf of Metcalf Cooling and Heating Services, Huw Jenkins of Thornhill Plumbing and Heating, Nick Irlam of Irlam UK, Rising Star Winner Carl Ladd, and CIPHE member Karen Matthews of Mayfly Group. Each trustee will play a crucial role in assessing categories relevant to their specific areas of expertise.

Having secured the regional title, Taylor Evans now has the opportunity to be crowned the National 2025 Heating Installer Awards winner. The public is invited to cast their votes for Taylor by visiting the official Heating Installer Awards website. Public votes will account for a quarter of the installer's overall score, which will be combined with the judges' scores and the results of a technical challenge set for all regional and highly commended winners.

Voting closes at midnight on Monday, May 27th, 2025. The winners will be announced on 25th June 2025 at InstallerSHOW, taking place at Birmingham NEC.
