Whitchurch dog trainer scoops double win at LUXlife Pet Products & Services Awards
Rachel Rodgers, a dog trainer near Whitchurch, has won two awards at the LUXlife magazine's Pet Products & Services Awards.

LUXlife magazine has announced the winners of its highly anticipated Pet Products & Services Awards, and local dog trainer Rachel Rodgers of Nose to Trail and The Canine School of Trailing has walked away with an impressive two accolades.
The awards celebrate excellence in an industry dedicated to the well-being and happiness of our beloved animal companions.
Rachel Rodgers has successfully retained her title of Animal Behaviourist of the Year (UK) for the second consecutive year. This prestigious award recognises her exceptional work as an ABTC registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist, where she provides vital vet-referred support to dogs in the local area struggling with challenging issues such as separation anxiety and aggression.
In addition to this individual triumph, Rachel's co-founded venture, The Canine School of Trailing, has received its inaugural award, being named Dog Trailing Training Company of the Year for the North West. The Canine School of Trailing specialises in Pet Trailing, a discipline where dogs are trained to locate missing animals. Rachel's inspiration for the company stemmed from her own dog, Rico, who has an outstanding track record of reuniting lost dogs with their distraught owners across the region.
Adding to the excitement, Rico himself is currently nominated for the BBC Make a Difference Award, hinting at further potential celebrations for the dedicated team.
"In the current economic climate, life as a small business owner is hard," Rachel commented. "These awards are a great way to help keep myself and the team motivated even when things are tough!"
LUXlife magazine's Pet Products & Services Awards encompass a vast array of offerings, from essential pet provisions like litter and food to specialized services such as cat hotels and training. The programme aims to highlight the "best of the best" in the luxury pet market.
Awards Coordinator Melissa Bramall expressed her admiration for this year's winners: "It’s always a pleasure to host our awards programmes, and our Pet Products and Services Awards 2025 has been a fantastic opportunity to learn more about such an important industry for the health – and happiness – of our furry friends. Our winners pour their hearts into their work and it’s an honour to recognise them for all they do. Congratulations again, it is well deserved."
