Regional estate agents Halls has recruited senior sales negotiator Angela Jones to join the experienced team at the company’s Telford branch.

The appointment comes at a time when the company is experiencing high demand for residential properties, especially starter homes priced under £250,000, semi-detached, three bedroomed houses and detached, four bedroomed homes.

Angela, who lives in Newport, is celebrating 20 years in estate agency, having most recently worked as senior sales negotiator for James Du Pavey in Eccleshall.

Looking to progress her career, she turned down two other job offers to join Halls because of the growth potential of the company’s Telford office.

“It’s the right time to take the next step in my career progression, as I would like to be a branch manager in the future,” said Angela, mum to 16-year-old twins. “Having previously worked for two really good, independent estate agents, I wanted to join a company that has the same values as me.

“I was offered two other jobs but I chose Halls because they matched my ambition and there is huge potential for growth at the Telford office. We sell a full range of properties from starter homes to country homes at the top end of the market.”

Angela joins branch manager Matt Gilbert and office manager Charli Wisdom. They cover a wide area which includes Telford and Wrekin and from Newport to Bridgnorth.

The branch is currently selling properties ranging from land with a £20,000 price tag and a £165,000 Ironbridge flat to new builds and £800,000 homes.

“We are keen to increase our property portfolio, especially in South Telford to meet the huge demand for starter homes valued at £250,000 and below,” said Matt.

“It’s an ideal time to sell homes because there are plenty of buyers out there for all types of property. Semi-detached, three bedroomed homes and detached, four bedroomed properties, particularly, are selling very well.

“The property market definitely picked up after the Budget last November and the Middle Eastern conflict has not affected buyer confidence.”
