Igloo Vision unveils Igloo Core Engine 2.0
Igloo Vision, the shared immersive space company, has announced the release of Igloo Core Engine 2.0, a major update to its industry-leading immersive software platform.

Designed to make immersive spaces faster to deploy, easier to manage, and more powerful to use, Igloo Core Engine 2.0 builds on the foundations of the original platform with a refined user experience, expanded content capabilities, and new AI-driven tools.
Based out of Craven Arms, Igloo Vision started over 19 years ago on the festival circuit in 2007, founded by a group of technically-minded, Shropshire-based dance enthusiasts who wanted to create the ultimate party venue.
Those founders, realising that the projection systems at the time were prohibitively expensive, developed their own software to fill domes with seamless 360° projections.
It wasn’t long before festival-goers with a corporate background saw the potential for other use cases. The festival work was supplemented by several small-scale corporate events. Then a dramatic change in pace came with large-scale projects for clients such as Sky, Toyota and UKTI.
Today, Igloo immersive spaces are trusted by a wide range of global organisations, including EY, Deloitte, Microsoft, Nike, BP, AtkinsRéalis, Capgemini, T-Mobile, Haleon, and a large and ever-growing roster of schools, colleges, and universities. These organisations use Igloo’s software platform, Igloo Core Engine, to power their Igloo immersive spaces that support collaboration, visualisation, learning, and decision‑making - from large‑scale infrastructure projects and enterprise design reviews to immersive education and training environments.
Originally launched in 2023, Igloo Core Engine brought together those years of immersive expertise into a single software platform, transforming how immersive spaces are created and operated. Since then, the platform has picked up over 8 leading industry awards, ranging from ‘Software of the Year’, to ‘Best Collaboration Tool’, to ‘Best Display Technology’, highlighting its industry popularity and flexibility.
With version 2.0, Igloo Vision has taken that philosophy further, bringing users even more flexibility by opening up new creative opportunities for organisations across every industry so that the same immersive space can take on multiple use cases, bringing a better return on investment for users.
“When we launched Igloo Core Engine, the goal was to remove complexity from immersive spaces and make them viable for everyday use,” said Kerry Head, CEO of Igloo Vision. “With Igloo Core Engine 2.0, we’ve refined that vision even further. We’ve listened closely to our customers and focused on what really matters - faster setup, simpler control, and opening up content creation through AI and native 3D tools. The result is a platform that’s more powerful, more accessible, and better suited to how organisations actually want to work today.”
At the heart of Igloo Core Engine 2.0 is a fully overhauled user interface, designed to feel familiar to existing users while significantly improving day-to-day usability. New light and dark modes, updated colour schemes, improved widget design, and system utilisation insights make it easier to understand how content is performing and how immersive spaces are being used in real time.
Igloo Core Engine 2.0 introduces a redesigned Control Panel, consolidating menus and bringing essential functions closer to hand. A new Launchpad system ensures users are never more than two clicks away from launching or exiting immersive experiences, while full cross-device support allows spaces to be controlled seamlessly from phones, tablets, and laptops.
The update also unlocks new content possibilities, including a native 3D Model Layer for viewing and analysing 3D assets directly within immersive spaces, and AI asset generation tools that integrate with leading platforms from OpenAI, Google, and Blockade Labs.
Igloo Core Engine 2.0 is available now and is included for all existing customers as part of their licence agreements.
