Market Drayton-based heating installer wins regional award
Taylor Evans has been announced as the top heating installer in the West Midlands by judges from the industry-leading Heating Installer Awards 2026 for the second year running.
The Market Drayton-based installer, of J D Heating and Renewables Ltd, won the regional award for his work on an 18th Century Grade II listed family home with six bedrooms.
Taylor explains: “It was a standout project for many reasons to us, not only due to its size and scope but also because of the careful consideration given to preserving the estate’s existing character. Every step was taken to ensure the modern systems integrated seamlessly with the historic elements, maintaining the integrity of the property while embracing sustainability. I worked closely with the estate manager and the family at every step, collaborating on every decision to ensure a seamless blend.”
The solution he developed after assessment of the property’s heating requirements combined a ground source heat pump teamed with solar panels, ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy supply that maximises the system’s performance year-round.
The system now provides both heating and hot water to multiple buildings across the estate, including the main hall, two cottages, office spaces and conference rooms. In total, it efficiently heats an area of 900 square metres, ensuring comfort and sustainability throughout the property.
Established over 11 years ago to raise the credibility and celebrate the achievements of the best installers across the UK, the nationwide awards scheme champions heating installers who deliver exemplary work for homeowners month in, month out.
Representatives from the awards’ partners and sponsors Danfoss, Powered Now, Samsung Climate Solutions, Stelrad, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, InstallerSHOW and Refresh, as well as a team of previous winning installers, judged the entries on problem solving, product knowledge and stand out work.

Voting closes at midnight on 28th May 2026. Public votes will contribute to a fifth of the installer’s overall scores and will be added to scores gained from the judges and from a technical challenge set for all of the regional and highly commended winners.
The winners will be announced on 24th June 2026 at InstallerSHOW, taking place at Birmingham NEC.
