Telford Theatre welcomes bumper pantomime audience

The pantomime starred EastEnders and Dancing On Ice winner Sam Attwater as The Prince, the hilarious Ian Smith as Dame Dolly, comedy star Carl Dutfield as Muddles, local favourite Chloe Barlow as Snow White, 90s Pop Star ‘Lolly’ Anna Kumble as The Wicked Queen and singing sensation Sophie Jane Walters as Fairy Fortune.

Running from 8 December to 2 January a total of 50 performances were staged.

Councillor Carolyn Healy (Lab), Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Green Spaces, Natural and Historic Environment and Cultural Services, said:

“The importance of local theatre has been highlighted this year with record numbers attending the popular pantomime. We know that this is an extremely important facility for the area bringing family and friends together to enjoy shows throughout the year. The regional audiences the theatre also attracts ensures Telford is firmly on the map for visitors to the area increasing spend in the local economy.

"And I just want to say a huge thank you to all who purchased Kindness Tickets from Telford Theatre, meaning that families in the borough living in difficult circumstances, had the opportunity to attend the pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

"A total of 77 family tickets were purchased meaning that over 600 people were allocated tickets via the Christmas Smile project. We have had heart-warming responses from families who have benefitted. Thank you all.

"As they say, the show must go on and the team at Telford Theatre look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the packed programme of events throughout 2023.”
