Shrewsbury Musical Theatre Company call open auditions for 'School of Rock’ production
Members of the amateur theatre group Shrewsbury Musical Theatre Company are set to hold auditions for youngsters interested in performing in their next production.
Shrewsbury Musical Theatre Company are producing the Shropshire Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit musical School of Rock this autumn.
They are particularly interested in hearing from kids aged 9-14 who can act, sing, dance, and for certain lead roles also play musical instruments.
The show will run from 15th to 18th November 2023 at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury and rehearsals begin in June, generally on Mondays and Wednesdays with the occasional Sunday. There’s a possibility of some summer holiday workshops for children if required.
Following on from their recent sell-out performances of Sunshine On Leith at Theatre Severn, being part of School Of Rock promises to be an opportunity not to be missed!
You can find more information and register an interest via the group’s website by 30th April.
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday 20th May 2023.
