New immersive event comes to Shrewsbury stately home
A spectacular new adults-only Alice in Wonderland themed show is coming to a Shrewsbury mansion this February, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The Queen of Hearts Ball created by immersive entertainments company SpellBound is being held at luxury venue Berwick House in Shrewsbury on Friday 14th February.
“We’re so excited to be bringing this event to Shrewsbury,” said SpellBound Creative Director, Polly Wolf. “SpellBound is back, and this new production is even bigger and better than ever.
“It’s almost impossible to describe what The Queen of Hearts Ball will be – you simply have to experience it to believe it!
“Like our previous events, this Ball is fully interactive. We’re creating a lavish fantasy world where guests get to roam the beautiful mansion house while incredible things happen all around them.
“They can enjoy sizzling live musical performances from our professional cast or kick back at the cocktail bar, watch the live band or dive into the buffet banquette, be amazed by SpellBound’s magician and fire dancer or hop down a rabbit hole into our 360-degree photo booth.
"Our more daring guests can handle snakes and other exotic animals in the Mad Hatter’s Menagerie or even learn a ‘courtly dance’ overseen by the Queen of Hearts herself. Plus, our VIP ticket holders will be treated to a bonus cabaret show that’s guaranteed to get pulses racing.
“I’m thrilled that SpellBound’s getting a reputation for hosting the best immersive events outside of London. Our mission is simple – to give our guests an experience they’ll never forget.
“So, whether you’re coming with your partner for a Valentine’s treat, or with friends for the best party of the year, you’re going to have an unforgettable night!”
The Queen of Hearts Ball will be SpellBound’s second event in Shropshire, following the company’s sell-out Moonlight Ball in October 2024.
Reviewers described the Moonlight Ball as “the sort of thing you only expect to find in the West End”, “worth twice the price for the variety and sheer quality of entertainment”, and “brilliant… I would 100% recommend anyone to attend a SpellBound production and will be booking my ticket for the next event as soon as possible.”
Tickets to The Queen of Hearts Ball, on Friday 14th February at Berwick House, are exclusively available at spellbound.productions.
