Fordhall Organic Farm is welcoming its youngest visitors for a joyful, hands-on experience with “Giggle’s and Grow”, taking place on Wednesday 18th February, 10am–12pm.

Fordhall Organic Farm invites young children to explore nature through play

Designed especially for children aged 3–5, Giggle’s and Grow encourages little ones to get their hands in the soil, discover bugs, play garden games and enjoy creative activities in Fordhall’s beautiful Community Garden, a peaceful natural haven tucked among organic fields and pig pens.

Led by the farm’s therapeutic gardener, the two-hour session offers families an immersive morning in nature, helping children build confidence, curiosity and a connection to the outdoors.

Danielle Edwards-Quinn, Therapeutic Garden Lead at Fordhall Organic Farm, said:

“It’s a great chance for children to connect with nature through play and exploration. The Community Garden offers a wonderful space to explore and learn about the many wonders of the farm’s unique natural environment.”

The session costs £8.50 per child. Parents and carers must stay for the duration, supporting their children while staff lead the activities. Places must be pre-booked in advance via the Fordhall website. Participants are asked to arrive slightly before 10am and meet at the Welcome Shed so the session can start promptly.

Fordhall Organic Farm is free to visit, with free parking and free farm trails, and visitors are welcome to explore the site before or after the session, including spotting the farm’s much-loved pigs. Arthur’s Farm Kitchen and Farm Shop will also be open for refreshments and local produce.
