Wellington set for a flipping great pancake day
Wellington is coming together for a flipping great day this half term as residents and businesses celebrate Shrove Tuesday with fun and games.
The third ‘Great Wellington Pancake Race’ will be staged in the town centre on Tuesday 17 February and it is hoped it will be well supported.
“Representatives of businesses from different parts of Wellington, together with Love Wellington, are coming together for some pancake-based activities,” explained Jon Drew of the Boardroom Gaming Café in New Street, who will be in charge of the fun and games.
“It’s a great excuse for people from across the town to join forces, have a bit of fun and take part in some crazy games.
“We are looking for businesses to participate and for volunteers to help at the event, which will kick off at 11am.”
