A spectacular half-term adventure is about to begin as the magical family musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, presented by Get Your Wigle On, opens today at Theatre Severn.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang takes flight at Theatre Severn

Full of wonder, excitement, and pure theatrical magic, this dazzling production brings Ian Fleming’s beloved story roaring to life on stage. Audiences will be swept away with eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts, his spirited children Jeremy and Jemima, and – most spectacularly – a legendary flying car that quite literally takes adventure to new heights.

Packed with larger-than-life characters, including the chilling Child Catcher and the wonderfully eccentric Grandpa Potts, this high-energy production bursts with colour, comedy, and breathtaking stagecraft. Every moment builds towards the iconic flying car soaring across the stage in a truly jaw-dropping theatrical spectacle.

The show is bursting with timeless songs that audiences know and love, including the joyful Toot Sweets, the tender Hushabye Mountain, and the irresistibly catchy title number Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... guaranteed to have audiences singing all the way home.

Presented by Get Your Wigle On, this phantasmagorical family favourite arrives in Shrewsbury during the half-term holidays, delivering an unmissable experience for audiences of all ages. With both evening performances and matinees available, it is the perfect half-term treat.

Don’t miss your chance to see the magic take flight as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang soars into Shrewsbury for a run of truly scrumptious entertainment! Performing at Theatre Severn from Thursday, 28 May until Saturday, 30 May 2026, this spectacular show offers both matinee and evening options to fit your schedule.

Catch the magic on Thursday and Friday at 2.30 pm and 7.30 pm, or grab seats for the Saturday performances at 1 pm and 6 pm. Tickets are available now and can be booked online at theatresevern.co.uk or by calling the Box Office directly at 01743 281 281.
