Telford Balloon Fiesta returns with spectacular night glow and free family fun

One of Telford and Wrekin’s most popular signature events, the Telford Balloon Fiesta 2026 returns to Telford Town Park for a weekend packed with colour, community spirit and affordable family fun later this summer.

The celebrations begin on Friday 28 August 2026 from 5pm to 10pm with the much-loved Night Glow, a ticketed evening event offering a low-cost experience for families. Visitors can enjoy the magical sight of illuminated balloons glowing in time to music, creating a truly special atmosphere and an unforgettable start to the weekend.

The event continues with the free Telford Balloon Fiesta on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August 2026 between 12pm to 7pm where families and visitors can enjoy spectacular balloon displays alongside a range of entertainment and activities in the setting of Telford Town Park.

As one of the Council’s flagship events, the Balloon Fiesta reflects its commitment to supporting residents, strengthening communities, and ensuring everyone can access high-quality experiences close to home.

Councillor Angela McClements, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism, Culture and the Arts, said: "The Telford Balloon Fiesta is a true highlight in our events calendar and a celebration of everything that makes our borough such a great place to live, work and visit.

"We know that many families are still feeling the pressures of the cost of living, which is why it’s so important that we continue to provide accessible events like this. With a free family weekend and a low-cost Night Glow experience, we’re ensuring that residents can enjoy special moments together without financial strain.

"Events like the Balloon Fiesta play an important role in supporting our communities, bringing people together and boosting pride in our borough, while also supporting local businesses and tourism."

Further details about the event, including Night Glow ticket information and the full programme, will be announced soon.
