A three-day celebration of artistic expression and craftsmanship will be held in the heart of Jackfield, near Ironbridge this Summer.

Gallery in Jackfield to host annual printmaker’s fair

Footprint Gallery will host its inaugural Printmakers’ Fair on Friday 28th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30 July. The fair will exhibit up to 180 framed original prints, alongside unframed browser prints and handmade printed gifts, cards and merchandise.

See live talented printmaking Artists

The event will showcase a vibrant array of printmaking techniques some dating back hundreds of years. The talented artists on show will present unique creations that reflect the rich heritage and contemporary innovations in the world of printmaking, to captivate both art enthusiasts and the local community alike. Expect to find linocuts, woodcuts, collagraph, silkscreen, blind embossing, etching and Gyotaku (a Japanese technique traditionally using sumi ink and fish).

The gallery's serene surroundings and historical charm provide the perfect backdrop for this celebration of printmaking. Admission to the fair is free, and visitors will have the opportunity to purchase artwork on the day to take home with them.

"We are excited to be hosting the Printmakers Fair," said Rod Sheppard from Footprint Gallery "This event allows us to celebrate the beauty of printmaking as a medium while bringing together a diverse group of artists and enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply curious about printmaking, this fair promises to be an engaging and inspiring experience for all."

Coffee & Cake amidst a World Heritage Site

As well as immersing themselves in a range of prints, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a barista coffee and a slice of homemade cake from the Jackfield Tile Museum Café and make the most of their day by visiting the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge with its vast array of attractions and museums. There will be free parking on-site.

Footprint Gallery is a creative space dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of contemporary art forms. Located within Fusion centre in the historic village of Jackfield, the gallery is committed to fostering creativity, supporting artists, and engaging the local community in a vibrant artistic dialogue.
