Slimming World, a leading weight loss organisation, offers a unique approach to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.

New Year, new you with Slimming World

Emma Taylor, District Manager for Shropshire, Staffordshire & Wolverhampton, shares her insights into the program.

"I've seen firsthand the power of Slimming World to transform lives," says Emma. "Our Food Optimising plan emphasizes enjoying real, everyday foods – from lean proteins and fresh fruits and vegetables to whole grains and healthy fats. This isn't about deprivation, but about making sustainable choices that nourish your body and satisfy your cravings."

Emma's story

Emma is a success story of Slimming World herself after joining as a member back in 2007 and losing two stone after having her daughter Megan.

For 10 years she then ran her very own successful Slimming World business, helping hundreds of members reach their dream target weight. She has now worked with Slimming World for just over 16 years and supported 74 Consultants and 8,000 members through 161 Slimming World groups in the area.

With the New Year, she now wants to encourage others to discover their new you "I am passionate about the work we do as an organisation to combat the Obesity crisis through our Food Optimising plan, it is based on Science, backed by evidence and loved by millions."

A journey, not a race

Slimming World understands that weight loss is a journey, not a race. Losing weight is not always plain sailing, to change lifelong habits, we must look deeper and shift our mindset – which is so much easier with the right support. That's why the program focuses on providing unwavering support.

"Our groups offer a warm and welcoming community," explains Emma. "Members share experiences, celebrate successes, and offer encouragement during challenging times. This peer support is invaluable in navigating the ups and downs of weight loss."

Beyond the social aspect, Slimming World offers practical tools and resources "Each week you’ll get personalised support, share recipes, ideas and strategies to keep you highly motivated and on track as you build your knowledge of Food Optimising and our Body Magic activity programme" says Emma. "The goal is to build healthy habits that last a lifetime."

It’s based on Slimming World’s deep understanding of the psychology of slimming and they've helped millions of people make lasting changes.
