Shropshire schoolgirl takes on inspiring charity challenge
A determined 10-year-old from Shropshire is taking on an inspiring challenge to raise money for two charities very close to her heart.

Olivia has set herself the goal of walking all four of the Shropshire hills linked to the houses at her school — Haughmond Hill, Stiperstones, The Wrekin and Caer Caradoc — all before the end of July.
The idea was entirely Olivia’s own. She wanted to combine something connected to school life with an opportunity to make a positive difference for others.
She is raising money for both the MS Society UK and Alzheimer’s Research UK, inspired by the experiences of two much-loved family members.
Olivia’s Grandad is living with Multiple Sclerosis, and she says she has seen first-hand the impact the condition can have on everyday life and dignity. She is also taking on the challenge in support of her Great Grandad, who is living with Alzheimer’s disease.
By completing the walks, Olivia hopes to raise £500, with all funds split equally between the two charities to help support research, care and families affected by the conditions.
Friends and family describe Olivia as a determined young girl who fully commits herself to any challenge she takes on — and this latest fundraising effort is no exception.
The challenge has already begun, with Olivia hoping to complete all four hills over the coming months.
Anyone wishing to support Olivia’s fundraiser can donate via her GoFundMe page.
