South Shropshire Road Collision Victim Named
A woman who died when the car she was a passenger in collided with another vehicle near Bishop’s Castle at the weekend, was today named as Natasha Elizabeth Jones, aged 19, of Dahn Drive, Ludlow.
Miss Jones was a front set passenger in a red Ford Fiesta involved in a collision with a grey Ford Focus on the B4385 between Brockton and Lower Down at around 3.15pm on Friday.
The Fiesta was travelling towards Brockton and the Focus in the opposite direction towards Lower Down.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances and today renewed witness appeals. A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or who saw either vehicle being driven in the time leading up to the collision.
“They should contact Shrewsbury police station on 0300-333-3000.”
A post mortem was held yesterday and the South Shropshire coroner Mr Anthony Sibcy is expected to open an inquest later this week.
