Images released in Dothill sexual assault witness appeal
Detectives investigating the serious sexual assault that happened in Dothill sometime between 11.50pm on Saturday 22nd January and 12.15am on Sunday 23rd January have today released images of four females they wish to trace and speak to as part of their ongoing inquiries.

It is stressed that these women are not victims in connection with this matter, and that neither are they involved with the specific offence itself. They may, however, hold important information which could assist the police investigation.
The first two images were taken on New Street in Wellington late on 22nd January, while the third image is taken from a camera at the new bus station at the Parade in Wellington. The two women at the bus station are shown on the CCTV just prior to 11pm on the date mentioned, and it appears they had just left the Station Hotel from the entrance on Station Approach.
Any of the women shown on the CCTV, or anyone that recognises them, is asked to contact police in Telford as soon as they can.
Speaking about the investigation and the release of this renewed appeal, Temporary Detective Chief Inspector (T/DCI) Steve Tonks, the Senior Investigating Officer, said:
“On Sunday 30th January a 36-year-old local man was charged in connection with this matter and he is currently remanded in custody. However, the investigation remains ongoing and police are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry.
“I would ask the women on the images we have released to come forward and contact West Mercia Police so that detectives at Malinsgate Police Station can speak to them in confidence. They may hold significant information in respect of this enquiry and therefore it is really important we trace them and speak to them.
“I would like to reassure them that they themselves are not under investigation in anyway and stress that we are keen to trace them as potential witnesses only. I would ask that these women call CID in Telford as soon as they possibly can on 0300 333 3000.”
