Shropshire campaigners in London for cuts march
Shropshire campaigners are today in London as part of a national protest against Government cuts.
Seventeen coaches this morning left Shropshire collecting those against the cuts from Market Drayton, Shrewsbury and Telford.
Protest organisers and campaigners taking part in today's London march say spending cuts will damage public services and put more than a million people out of work.
It’s expected that over 100,000 people will take part marching from The Embankment alongside the river Thames to the Houses of Parliament, up Whitehall and then on to Hyde Park for a protest rally.
A large number of parents and supporters of local schools threatened with possible closure by Shropshire Council are also travelling to London to make their voices heard.
Last month hundreds of protestors marched into Shrewsbury town centre from Shirehall against the cuts. Speeches were then made by a number of Union Members and campaign organisers.
