Police in Oswestry have appealed for witnesses after two men were seen vandalising cars as they walked along a residential street.

Cars vandalised in Oswestry and St Martins

The offenders were seen to kick at the wing mirrors of various cars in Unicorn Road, including a red Vauxhall Astra, purple Rover 216 and a silver Vauxhall Corsa, between about 11pm and just before midnight on Friday.

Both offenders were white and in their early 20s. One was wearing a white top and grey trousers or jeans and the other a red top and blue jeans.

They walked off towards Whittington Road. Officers attended and carried out a search but the offenders were not found.

In St Martins at least two cars had wing mirrors smashed off in a seperate vandal attack.

Both the silver Vauxhall Corsa and the silver Mercedes C240 were parked locked and secure in Ellesmere Road, St Martins when they were targeted between about 4pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.

Both had the wing mirrors knocked off, with one ending up some distance down the road from where the car was parked.

Anyone who might have seen or heard any activity regarding the vandalism is asked to contact police on 0300 333 3000.

Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
