Morris Care residents celebrate Royal wedding
Residents at Morris Care’s nursing homes celebrated the Royal Wedding of William and Kate in style at the weekend, with parties fit for a King!

The nursing homes were decorated red, white and blue to celebrate the stately event, with bunting and flags all made by the residents, whilst staff dressed up in wedding and Union Jack inspired attire.
Staff and residents watched the nuptials unfold together on special big screens before enjoying street party style celebrations with a quintessentially British afternoon tea comprising traditional cucumber sandwiches and homemade cakes.
Helen Hotton, a resident at Morris Care’s Stretton Hall nursing home in All Stretton, said: “I really enjoyed watching the Royal wedding, it was a lovely day and I had such a wonderful time!”
Geraldine Bunning, social life coordinator at Oldbury Grange, organised the day’s events at the Bridgnorth nursing home and said: “Everyone really got into the spirit of things and our residents particularly enjoyed seeing the staff dressed up!”
Stretton Hall and Oldbury Grange are two of six nursing homes owned and operated by Morris Care. Both homes provide long and short term care for frail older people, with specialist care for those who are mentally frail and palliative care for the terminally ill.
