Woman suffers injuries during attack by three men in Dawley

Police are still speaking with the victim to ascertain exactly what happened, but say the incident is believed to have taken place between about 0100 and 0300 this morning in Johnson Road.

It is believed that three white males were involved, one wearing a baseball cap.

The lady who is in her fifties was treated for minor injuries at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital.

Detective Inspector John Elcock of Telford CID said, “The lady was walking from an address in Johnson Road to a nearby address when she was approached by three males who then attacked her.

"I am particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have been in the area at the time whether they saw anything or not.

"Clearly anyone who has any knowledge of this attack should contact police immediately.''

Detectives and forensic Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area today.
