Elderly woman dies in Bridgnorth house fire
An elderly woman has died following a fire at a remote property in Shropshire.

The fire broke out in a detached rural cottage close to the village of Rindleford near Bridgnorth at just before 6.43pm yesterday.
On arriving firefighters were informed that an elderly lady may possibly be inside of the house, a crew wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and located the lady rescuing her from the property.
Police officers then performed life support on the woman outside of property until an ambulance crew arrived and took over.
Despite all of the efforts, the woman was confirmed dead at the scene.
A joint investigation as to the cause of the fire is currently being undertaken by the police and the fire service.
It is believed that the occupier did have a smoke detector but that it was not working.
