Vehicle owners reminded about security following car thefts
Police in Shropshire have reminded car owners to make sure they secure their vehicles following the theft of two cars.

A grey Audi A5 Sport TDI – registration number HJ10 UGM – was stolen from outside a cottage in Birds Green, Alveley, near Bridgnorth between 7pm yesterday and 5:50am today.
In an unrelated incident, a silver Subaru Impreza – registration number P487 PFB – was stolen from outside a home in College Road, Oswestry, between 12.30am and 10.30am Sunday.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Although the vehicles in both these cases were left secure, they serve as a reminder to ensure cars and vans are locked at all times when not in use and that items of value are removed whenever possible, or at least locked out of sight in the boot.”
In a separate incident, the front and rear number plates were stolen from a black Peugeot 106 at the Comrades Sports and Social Club in Victoria Street, Ellesmere, between 3pm on Friday and 11am yesterday.
Police have appealed for witnesses to all three incidents. Information can be passed to the nearest main police station on 0300-333-3000, or to the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800-555-111.
