Shropshire youngster becomes England Rugby mascot for the day
A six year old from Shropshire has won a prestigious competition resulting in him being one of 15 England Rugby mascots at the England XV v The Barbarians fixture at Twickenham.

Ethan Harley, the son of an RAF Shawbury Serviceman, Sgt Phil Harley and Telford Hornets under 7 player, was a recent winner of a competition run by the England Rugby Junior Supporters Club. The prize allowed him to become a mascot and receive a full England strip and four tickets to the match on Sunday 29th May 2011.
Ethan and the other competition winners were given a mini tour of the players changing rooms before practising and fulfilling their mascot duties. Dwarfed by the 6’ 7”, 17st 8lb frame of England and Bath winger Matt Banahan, Ethan proudly jogged onto the pitch to take his place in front of a Twickenham crowd of 38,680.
His day was completed by meeting Rugby legends Bill Beaumont, Rob Andrews, Martin Johnson, Graham Rowntree, Andy Gomarsall and not forgetting Mr England aka Pete Cross.
