The Hive Music and Media Centre, an independent youth arts charity working across Shropshire is appealing for new trustees, presenting a key opportunity for people of the Shropshire business world to get involved with one of the County’s top creative venues!

The Hive launches appeal for new trustees

Formerly Belmont Arts Centre, the Hive is based in the heart of Shrewsbury town centre and works across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and the wider sub-region, with the primary aim of inspiring young people through music and media. The organisation delivers a wide variety of valuable projects, working closely with partner organisations and agencies, providing opportunities for young people to develop new skills, have fun and be creative.

The Centre hosts a diverse range of cultural events for the local community and the organisations recent street party demonstrated the importance of local businesses and charitable organisations working together in partnership.

Alyson Lanning, Director of the Hive said “This offers an exciting opportunity for business representatives in Shropshire to join our existing board of trustees and give something back to the community. The minimum commitment would be to attend board meetings once a month for approximately two hours and I encourage anyone who is interested to contact me directly for an informal discussion.”

For further information on the Hive’s appeal for trustees, call Alyson Lanning on 01743 234970 or email alyson@hiveonline.org.uk To discover more about the work that the Centre delivers, visit www.hiveonline.org.uk
