Police have appealed for a cyclist who collided with a woman in Oswestry town centre to get in touch.

Appeal for cyclist following Oswestry collision

The incident happened outside the Just Craft shop in Oswald Road between about 10.45am and 11am on Thursday.

The woman had just walked out of the shop when she was knocked into the wall by the cyclist, who was reported to have been on the footpath.

She suffered minor injuries to her face and head and sought treatment herself following the incident.

The cyclist, a white man who appeared to be in his 50s, did stop following the collision and asked if the victim was okay but did not leave his name or any contact details before cycling away.

He was of stocky build, with greying hair and was wearing glasses and a T-shirt with a motif on it. His mountain bike is believed to have been grey.

Police are keen for the man to contact them on 0300 333 3000, as all collisions resulting in injuries must be reported by law.

CCTV from the area is also being checked and anyone who knows the cyclist’s identity or who witnessed the collision is also asked to get in touch.
