Police today appealed for sightings of two men seen near a Bridgnorth home shortly after it was burgled.

Police investigate Bridgnorth house burglary

The house in Portmans Way was broken into at around 2.30pm yesterday when the offenders were disturbed on the premises.

They fled with a pink laptop and items of jewellery.

Detective Constable Jason Whelan, the investigating officer, said: “I am trying to identify two men in tracksuits who were seen walking away from the area at around 2.30pm. I would urge anyone who might have seen them to contact Bridgnorth police station on 0300 333 3000.

“I am also appealing for any other witnesses who may have spotted suspicious activity linked to this burglary.”

He said the burglars are believed to have left the house along an alleyway at the end of Portman Way into the Wenlock Rise estate.

Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
